The Bridal Party or Head Table have an unrestricted view of all guests when they are seated as there are no columns, poles, fireplaces, stairs or intervening walls to cause visual obstructions.

Speeches can be presented without amplification being required.

The Darjon Venue seating layout remains permanent throughout the day. Tables and chairs are rarely removed and space is available for dancing and musicians.

Darjon utilises round dining tables that seat a nominal 8~9 people. This size was selected after much experience to create the most comfortable and friendly environment for the guests and conversation across or around the table can easily be maintained. Other table styles and layouts are available on request.
- Outdoor dancing is made possible by opening several sets of French Doors leading from the inside dance area to the Western Terrace creating a seamless indoor/outdoor environment.

Outdoor music can be provided by the venue sound system incorporating speakers disguised by shrubs.

There is no time restriction for the playing of music and Darjon is not subjected to any local Council “Closing Time Curfews” or specific noise level restrictions.

The Darjon Venue was custom designed and built in permanent materials and includes a three-section toilet area with full facilities. Darjon does not use Portaloos or mobile toilets except when Marquees are erected for weddings or events larger than 180 guests.

Because of its construction, the Darjon Venue maintains a comfortable room temperature through all Seasons and offers a warm and cozy environment even during the coldest Winter days.

The Darjon venue is located in a secluded rural area, heavily sheltered from prevailing winds by a neighbouring forest, densely planted gardens, vineyards and shelterbelts providing an oasis of calm when Christchurch is being punished by strong Easterly or North-Easterly winds. The location is free of road traffic noise and provides a very relaxed and peaceful ambience.
