PLATTER LUNCH SUNDAY
18th July from 12.00 noon

Following the popularity of our "Platter Lunch Sunday" season, we're doing it all again with Classical Vineyard Platters, Soup/s of the Day, a selection of Desserts & a Superb Wine List. Reservations are Essential.

The Platters will be a little more "Winter Hearty" and we're winding up the heating to get real cozy! Come and enjoy the last day of School Hols and give yourself a treat!

Small Platters Suitable for 1 – 2 to Share - $25.00.
Medium Platters Suitable for 2 – 4 to Share - $45.00.
Large Platters Suitable for 4 or More - $65.00.

For the more adventurous we’ll also be running a free "structured tasting" of 4 wines selected from our Distribution Portfolio starting at 11:15am sharp. Reservations are essential. Wine orders can be placed on the day and we will deliver during the week.

BARISTA
A great course for those who are passionate about good Coffee and would like to learn more or for those considering becoming a Barista.
Mondays 3rd & 10th May 2010. 6 – 9pm

WINE APPRECIATION FOR BEGINNERS
A Course designed for those interested in Wine but with little or no knowledge. Monday nights commencing 17th May 2010 for 6 weeks. 7 – 9pm

WINE APPRECIATION STAGE TWO
A Course which builds on the learning of our Introductory Course. Commences on Tuesday 4th May 2010 and runs for 5 weeks. 7 – 9pm.

Michelle & John Baker have been tutoring Wine Appreciation for approximately 10 years. Our four week Introductory Wine Appreciation Course will be held at Darjon. Each session includes approximately one hour of theory followed by a wine tasting session where you will taste a wide range of Multi Award Winning Wines. Gain an understanding of the NZ Wine Industry, key wine varietals, how to taste correctly, storing and cellaring wines and an introduction to wine and food matching. Course Fee $100.00 Per Person

COOKING CLASSES…IN YOUR OWN HOME…

If gathering a group of friends for a Cooking Class appeals to you….you now don’t even have to leave home…..You simply need to gather six keen 'students' for the cooking class and six friends or partners to join you later for dinner, provide a table for dinner (we can advise if you don’t have a suitable one) and avail your Kitchen…John and Michelle from HTCS bring everything else with them….they will teach you table setting and styling techniques, take you through the preparation of a four course Seasonally based meal and then serve the meal, to you and your friends, along with wines matched to each course….and the best part, they even clear up afterwards!!

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT WINE?

Michelle has been tutoring Wine Appreciation Courses for Beginners at Continuing Education Level for a number of years. Courses are held at both Hillmorton and Papanui High Schools and run for five sessions. Designed for those with an interest in wine but little or no prior knowledge, these fun relaxed courses will help build your confidence with wine and cover an overview of the NZ Wine Industry, grape varieties, storage, serving, tasting procedures and wine and food matching. Each session includes a wine tasting.
